These are rare but we did see them later at Sierpe.	20 The Arenal volcano is one of the most active volcanos in the world. When walk around it you will hear sonic booms and see glowing rocks falling down.
21 This is the church from La Fortuna, the city that is only 6 kilometers away from the Arenal volcano.	22 Cormorant catching and eating a fish near Cano Negro.	23 Redcheek Turtel in the river, also waiting to get some small fish.	24 A big green Kingfisher on a branch. Rio Negro.	25 This is very rare, an albino Howler monkey who lives with a group. Normally the group will leave the albino and he will die, but this one is still with its group. Rio Negro.

Howling monkeys produce an enourmous loud sound who will really scare you the first time you hear it. Rio Negro.	28 The Rio Negro comes from Nicaraqua, so if you travel North finally you will cross the border.	29 Muelle San Carlos is very famous for their big Iguanas.	30 A Poisoned Dart Frog, a small frog who the Indians used to poison their arrows with. There are a lot around our cabina in Casa Rio Blanco near Guapiles.
31 This is a tree frog, also a very small. You only see them at night.	32 After a short but heavy rainstorm the dry river near our cabina became a real river with a small waterfall.	33 The rainforest is very dense on some sites at the Caribean site from Costa Rica. Near Sloth Rescue Centre.	34 This is Buttercup, the first Sloth that has been rescued bij the Sloth Rescue Centre. She was just a small baby when see arrived.	35 This Mantis has a very good camouflage. It just looks like the leaf on where it sits, waiting for is prey.

41 Ever wondered why Chicquita bananas are called Chiquitta? Well, I know there are a lot of Chiquita plantations near this Playa Chiquita beach.	42 The are strong tides in the water, but snorkeling is very good, I did even see an octopus. Playa Chiquita.	43 Orosi is in the south mountais of Costa Rica. So it is cooler then on the beaches or the Central Valley.	44 From the Caribean coast to the Pacific coast, you will have to travel the Pan Am at 3800 meters high. Pan American Highway.	45 A view from our hotelroom at the Orosi Lodge. One of the nicest lodges in Costa Rica.
46 This is the lamp in our hotelroom. With a very low shutterspeed it gave this nice effect.	47 The church of Orosi. 51 White-faced Capuchin in the trees, he was part of a large group with a lot of baby monkeys. National Park Bahru.	52 An Iguana on a trunk, enjoying the very hot sun. One bite and you will be sure to die within half a hour! Near Ojochal.	55 This Coati, a nosebear, was eating fruit in the tree. He was also very interested in us. National Park Bahru.

There are a lot of Ibises in the National Park Ballena.	60 A flok of white Ibisses, there where more then thirty in one tree.
61 Just some leafes. I likes the colour and structure of them. Near Ojochal.	62 Nice sunset with a very strange cloud. The colours where great. Near Ojochal.	63 An Agouti, one of the biggest rodents in the world, crosses our path at Manual Antonio National Park.	64 Manual Antonio is very touristic, but if you take the rougher trails it much calmer.	65 After rain, muscitos will come with thousands, better use DEET based repellent.
66 Manual Antionio beach seen from high up in the National Park.	67 Our first wild Brown-tooted Three-toed Sloth, it was sitting calm in a tree, eating leafes in the National Park Manual Antionio.	68 A big Vulture searches for dead animals from the skies above Manual Antonio.	69 Boca Damas is a mangrove-forest. This forest is very large and you can visited with a private boat so you will see lots of animals.	70 White-faced Capuchin in the mangrove.
71 This is a Rainbow Boa, a snake from one and a half meter. He lives in the mangrove. Bocadamas near Damas.	72 Tiger faced crab. Named after the drawing on his back, which looks like the face of a tiger. Bocadamas near Damas.	73 The Black Boa is much taller the Rainbow Boa. This snake can easily swallow big birds or small Cayman. Bocadamas near Damas.	74 A big white stork flying away from us. Bocadamas near Damas.	75 Didis Charming Guesthouse is nice bed and breakfast run by an Italian couple. Its a good place to stay if you want to visit Manual Antonio.
